Amphenol Corporation's High Speed Products Group is seeking an NPI Engineer - Laser Welding in Valley Green, PA. You will serve as the global process owner for laser welding, lead technology development, and deploy robust production solutions across CBS manufacturing sites.

The role requires 3–5 years in laser-welding, DOE-driven process development, and cross-site collaboration with product engineering. Will travel roughly 30–50% domestically and internationally to support deployments and ramp

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Optical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on industrial laser-welding or laser process development experience.
• Strong knowledge of laser-material interaction and weld design.
• Experience using DOE, SPC, and process validation to qualify welding processes.
• Ability to deploy laser-welding equipment into automated manufacturing and provide training.

Responsabilidades

• Own laser welding as CBS global technical process owner, deploying across sites.
• Define technology roadmap and evaluate laser sources, beam delivery, and automation.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering on joint geometry, tolerances, and manufacturability.
• Develop robust process windows with DOE and key parameters.
• Lead factory deployment, qualification, and post-launch support.
• Lead DOE-driven process development and qualification activities.
• Define quality controls, CTQs/CTFs, and reaction plans.
• Provide technical governance and training across sites.
• Manage supplier/partner engagement for laser equipment and tooling.
