Job summary

Meta is seeking Network Production Engineers to design, build, and operate a massive global datacenter and AI network. You will own lifecycle aspects from planning to monitoring and drive scalable automation across backbone, data center, and edge networks.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in scalable networks, experience with multi-vendor devices, and proficiency in languages like Python, C++, or Go. This role emphasizes reliability, efficiency, and AI workload considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years designing, building, or operating scalable networks.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, C++, Go, Rust or Java).
• Knowledge of TCP, IPv4/IPv6 and routing protocols (BGP, MPLS, ISIS).
• Experience with multi-vendor device configurations (Juniper, Cisco, Arista).
• Experience with network devices, NMS, and related services.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement global best practices and scalable network designs.
• Build automation and tools to support product introductions, deployment, and operations.
• Design solutions that scale across diverse hardware platforms.
• Lead automation enhancements for CI, testing, release, and configuration management.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and sourcing teams on new networking solutions.
• Investigate complex technical issues across networks and tooling.
• Develop automated workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Drive cross-team collaboration and implement changes.
• Identify gaps, plan execution, and influence other teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation to address production challenges.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to team growth.
