Job summary

V2X is seeking a Functional Area Lead/Network Manager to oversee network design, implementation, operations, and security across USG and commercial environments. The role includes senior-level support, infrastructure troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance within a mixed Windows Active Directory environment.

The candidate will lead a team of technicians, manage capacity planning, and coordinate with other IT teams to secure and optimize networks.

Qualifications

• Experience leading IT/network teams and projects.
• Knowledge of DoD/military standards preferred.
• Experience with VMware ESXi environments and Cisco routers/switches.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor IT staff including network technicians and cybersecurity professionals.
• Maintain network architecture docs and ensure compliance with USG standards.
• Supervise configuration and operation of business systems; train IT team and users.
• Conduct regular network performance assessments and propose improvements.
• Establish and enforce network security protocols (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
