Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a high-energy Staff Network Deployment Engineer to lead the physical and logical implementation of our global network as we expand HPC and AI infrastructure. You will drive data center builds, translate designs into site-specific plans, and ensure rigorous testing and handoffs to Operations.

This role blends Network Engineering, Data Center Operations, and Project Management, with a focus on automation and scale across multiple sites globally.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering for large-scale data center deployments.
• Expert knowledge of structured cabling (SMF/MMF, MPO/MTP), optical transceivers (400G/800G), and data center power/cooling requirements.
• Hands-on experience configuring Arista EOS, Juniper Junos, and NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms in a leaf-spine architecture.
• Strong protocol knowledge of BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP for fabric provisioning.
• Automation-focused: Python and Ansible to automate deployment tasks and validate configurations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects across time zones and locations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment of network infrastructure in new and existing data centers.
• Translate high-level designs into site-specific implementation plans, cable maps, and configuration templates.
• Perform burn-in testing and site acceptance testing for new network clusters.
• Automate staging and configuration of hundreds of network devices using Python, Ansible, and ZTP.
• Coordinate with remote hands, cabling vendors, and data center providers to meet HPC standards.
• Track global hardware assets and lead the turn-up of backbone capacity and edge interconnects.
