Meta's Network Production Engineers design, build, and operate a vast worldwide backbone, datacenter, and AI network, tackling scale and reliability at every level.

In this hybrid role, you will create scalable network software, automate deployments, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to push innovation.

You will participate in on-call rotations and mentor teammates while driving improvements across the global network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/CE or related field.
• 6+ years designing, building, or operating scalable networks.
• Experience coding in Python, C++, Go, Rust, or Java and quickly learning new languages.
• Knowledge of TCP/IPv4/6, routing protocols (BGP, MPLS, ISIS), DHCP, DNS.
• Experience configuring multi-vendor devices (Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Brocade).
• Experience with network devices and NMS or related infrastructure software.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement global best practices and scalable network designs.
• Develop automation and tools for product deployment, release engineering, and operations.
• Design scalable solutions across multiple hardware platforms.
• Lead automation improvements for CI, testing, release, and configuration management.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and sourcing teams on new networking solutions.
• Investigate complex network issues across tooling, hardware, and performance.
• Create scalable workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Identify roadblocks, deliver automation, and drive cross-team change.
• Participate in on-call rotation to learn from production challenges.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to team growth.
