Job summary

Squire Patton Boggs in Houston seeks a Senior Network Engineer to lead design, deployment and ongoing management of the firm’s WAN, LAN, WLAN and VoIP networks across multiple regions. You will deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure and mentor the technology team while coordinating with vendors and IT managers.

Responsibilities include architecture, capacity planning, change control, disaster recovery input and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in server and network administration.
• Proficient in network protocols and WAN/LAN design.
• Knowledge of WAN optimization solutions and security principles.
• CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certifications are essential.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define strategies for network platforms and services.
• Design, implement and maintain WAN/LAN/WLAN and VOIP networks.
• Plan capacity, changes and disaster recovery tests.
• Provide 3rd line support and mentor team members.
• Document topology diagrams, IP lists and asset inventories.
