Job summary

Codan Limited in Ashburn, VA, is seeking a Network Administrator to maintain, secure, and enhance global network infrastructure. You will work hands-on with firewalls, switches, VPNs, and security services, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

The role requires proactive service delivery, strong customer focus, and the ability to travel domestically up to 10%, including occasional trips to Washington State.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering enterprise firewall platforms with policy creation and hardening.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networking principles.
• Experience with networking, wireless, security appliances and virtualization tools.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Clear communication and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise firewall environments and security hardening.
• Ensure reliability and performance of core network infrastructure.
• Apply security controls, firmware updates, vulnerability remediation, and access management.
• Execute planned network changes and configuration updates on schedule.
• Configure and maintain networking hardware and remote sites.
• Provide remote and onsite systems, server, and desktop support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and external providers while handling helpdesk tickets.
