Job summary

Google is seeking a Commodity Manager to collaborate with Engineering teams, optimizing total cost of ownership for NAND/SSD hardware across global infrastructure. You will leverage industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to drive savings and align material sourcing with product roadmaps.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, market analysis, and proactive management of CTB activities to ensure steady hardware supply and cost efficiencies for a rapidly scaling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical/engineering field.
• 12 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Experience in NAND commodity management (NAND technologies, SSD) and supplier management.
• Experience in industry analysis, cost modeling, quotation analysis, roadmap development, and supplier selection.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to drive SSD or NAND technologies at key NAND suppliers.
• Maintain industry and technology expertise as well as supplier and market conditions.
• Develop sourcing strategies for NAND/SSD and execute on them.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance in technology alignment, cost, quality, and delivery, negotiate agreements, and implement supply chain improvements.
• Address material management, shortages, and CTB activities, acting as escalation point between internal teams and NAND suppliers.
