Job summary

Google is seeking a Commodity Manager in the United States to drive sourcing strategy and supplier relationships for board-mounted power modules. You will collaborate with engineering, manage multiple suppliers, and lead negotiations to ensure cost, quality, and delivery.

This role supports Google’s AI and infrastructure initiatives across global data centers and product teams. Experience in power electronics procurement, global sourcing, and strong contract negotiation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Experience in commodity management, global procurement, or sourcing for board-mounted power modules, including contract negotiation and supplier development.
• Master's degree or MBA in a technical or engineering field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing strategy and collaborate with engineering on supplier roadmaps for VPD and IBC modules.
• Manage multiple suppliers and programs, negotiating complex agreements to achieve favorable pricing, terms, and scalable supply assurance.
• Direct cross-functional teams through supplier selection for new platforms, balancing innovation, speed-to-market, cost, quality, and delivery.
• Oversee critical supply chain operations - including production schedules, capacity planning, and operational flexibility - while reporting status and risks to executive leadership.
• Monitor supplier performance and mitigate continuity risks via regular business reviews, leveraging deep market intelligence to optimize procurement strategies.
