Job summary

Source One is seeking a Process Engineer (MSAT) to lead the global dual sourcing of lentiviral materials as part of Project S.U.R.G.E. This onsite role in Raritan, NJ will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to strengthen manufacturing reliability, sustainability, and process robustness across sites.

The ideal candidate has strong project management skills and deep knowledge of biological manufacturing, including viral vectors or advanced therapies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Approximately 5 years of pharma/biotech experience.
• At least 3 years of project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of biological manufacturing processes (upstream/downstream).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to solve complex technical challenges in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives for dual sourcing in lentiviral manufacturing.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans for dual sourcing initiatives.
• Lead vendor and material identification, specs, comparability assessments, change controls.
• Support standard processes for supply chain management, logistics, and distribution.
• Collaborate with production to optimize resources and reduce costs.
• Drive organizational change through project management and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate team activities and monitor performance.
• Create visuals and reports of milestones and critical paths.
