Job summary

KPMG seeks a Tax Associate for its Global Mobility Services practice in California. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering global tax, compensation and HR-related services to international clients, collaborating with KPMG offices worldwide.

Qualifications include a JD and/or LLM in Taxation, with strong analytical, communication and leadership skills. The role requires travel and on-site work as needed, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have JD and/or LLM in Taxation or equivalent program from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data analytics preferred.
• Knowledge of corporate, employment and international tax law.
• Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills; collaborative leadership in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; able to travel and work on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leverage diverse skill sets to provide international companies with global tax, compensation, benefits and HR-related services as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Compile and calculate compensation and benefit deductions, review provisions and assess tax rules; support due diligence for mergers & acquisitions.
• Work with KPMG offices globally to coordinate mobility tax support and advise multinational clients on global workforce implications.
• Participate in external market and business activities.
• Build capabilities in AI, Alteryx and Power BI to enhance client service delivery.
