Job summary

Stadler US is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to lead interdepartmental and external teams in delivering rail-focused projects on time and within budget. You will ensure requirements, schedules, and regulatory standards are met while guiding client communication and risk management.

The role emphasizes stakeholder coordination, contract adherence and quality deliverables across complex programs in a matrixed organization, with strong MS Office usage and persuasive communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field required.
• Master’s degree in business or related field a plus.
• 7+ years progressive experience with formal project management methodologies.
• Rail, aerospace or heavy industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
• 5+ years leading groups in a matrixed organization.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid organization skills including attention to detail, multitasking, excellent communication and persuasion skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with project team members to identify risk and opportunities and resolve issues.
• Submit project deliverables and ensure they adhere to contract requirements and quality standards.
• Prepare project status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
• Develop strategies to monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget, and risks and deliverables that support business goals.
• Establish and ensure the execution of effective project communication plans.
• Facilitate change requests to communicate impacts on schedule and budget.
• Oversee development and delivery of monthly project reports and customer progress reports.
• Coordinate development of user manuals, training materials and other documents for implementation.
• Identify and develop new opportunities with customers.
• Obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables.
• Manage customer satisfaction within project transition period.
