Job summary

AECOM seeks a Mineral Processing Practice Leader to drive growth, technical excellence, and market leadership across the mineral processing business. This senior role offers global reach, autonomy, and the chance to shape mineral processing within a leading mining and minerals practice.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee BD across metals and minerals, and mentor the next generation of processing engineers while traveling globally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline and 10+ years of experience in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mineral Processing Engineering (or related field)
• Master’s or PhD in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering preferred or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in mineral processing design and engineering
• Experience working in consulting or EPCM environments on multidisciplinary mining projects.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Familiarity with international standards and codes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing technical workstreams, and delivering client-focused solutions.
• Willingness to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth, technical excellence, and strategic direction of the Mineral Processing practice.
• Define technical vision and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and metallurgists.
• Drive business development across base metals, precious metals, critical minerals, and industrial minerals markets globally.
• Act as a recognized subject matter expert and thought leader, commanding client confidence at the executive level and mentoring the next generation of processing engineers.
