Job summary

AECOM seeks a high-impact Mineral Processing Practice Leader to drive growth, technical excellence, and market leadership in mineral processing. This senior role requires technical depth, commercial acumen, and a passion for people development with global reach and substantial autonomy.

The leader will define vision, guide engineers and metallurgists, and shape projects from feasibility to detailed design across metals sectors. Travel globally is expected; hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline and 10+ years of experience in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mineral Processing Engineering (or related field)
Master’s or PhD in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering preferred or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred or required depending on region.
Familiarity with international standards and codes; strong communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the growth, technical excellence, and strategic direction of the Mineral Processing practice.
Define technical vision and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and metallurgists.
Drive business development across base metals, precious metals, critical minerals, and industrial minerals markets globally.
Act as a recognized subject matter expert and thought leader, mentoring the next generation of processing engineers.
