Job summary

Optiver is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 engineer/architect to shape a single global platform used across our distributed offices. You will own global deliverables from design through rollout, with responsibility for collaboration, messaging, identity, and device access.

You will work hands-on, lead architectural decisions, implement self-healing automation, and drive observability. The role requires 7+ years of experience, deep SharePoint/Exchange expertise, and strong Azure/Intune skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a senior Microsoft 365 engineer or architect.
• Deep hands-on expertise in SharePoint Online and Exchange Online.
• Strong identity/access architecture with Entra ID/Azure AD, CA, RBAC.
• Proven ability to simplify complex hybrid environments.
• PowerShell, Graph, Azure CLI, Terraform, IaC workflows.
• Experience with Log Analytics and KQL.
• MDM/Intune policy for iOS/Android in BYOD and corporate modes.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to lead global, distributed projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Set direction and design standards for our global M365 platform.
• Lead architectural decisions end-to-end with peer validation and rollout ownership.
• Reduce legacy patterns and hybrid complexity.
• Define and operate collaboration/content platforms incl. IA, permissions, lifecycle.
• Own enterprise messaging architecture including mail flow and coexistence.
• Architect identity/access foundations and mobile access architecture.
• Define and own Azure foundations for M365 (policies, storage, network).
• Design deep monitoring/telemetry and observability.
• Operate BAU for the platform: incidents, changes, improvements.
• Build self-healing automation and AI-assisted delivery.
• Develop production-grade automation with industry tooling.
