Job summary

One Acre Fund is seeking an experienced Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Manager to lead MEL across Uganda, Nigeria, and the DRC. You will own systems, reporting, and data-driven recommendations while guiding regional teams to high-quality evidence at scale.

You will manage country MEL leads, oversee surveys, budgets, and cross-country processes, and contribute to global MEL strategy and thought leadership. This role offers international placement and a strong learning culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, implementing evaluations, and reporting.
• Proficiency in experimental and quasi-experimental evaluation designs (e.g. RCTs, propensity-score matching).
• Ability to design data-collection tools, conduct statistical analysis, and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MEL across Uganda, Nigeria, and DRC country programs.
• Directly manage the three Country MEL Leads (Uganda, Nigeria, DRC) with goal-setting and performance reviews.
• Ensure survey design and rollout meet global standards across the region.
• Review analyses conducted by the team and oversee reporting with actionable recommendations.
• Present MEL results in country steering-committee meetings and build buy-in on data-driven recommendations.
• Oversee country-level MEL budgets and plans, ensuring growth without compromising data quality.
