Job summary

STARZ in Denver seeks a Media Asset Specialist to ensure timely delivery of media assets meeting standards for domestic and Global Partners. The role requires self-motivation, autonomy, and ability to meet daily and long-term deadlines while handling multiple asset types and systems.

You will work with a skilled team to receive pre-released episodes, distribute assets per guidelines, encode formats, apply metadata, and ensure brand compliance across Premiere, Resolve, and Avid workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in production/post-production/broadcast/communications.
• Communicate effectively across cultural boundaries and teams.
• Knowledge of codecs, containers, file types (QT, MXF, DNX, h.264) and video standards.
• Experience with digital video/audio including compression codecs.
• Non-linear editing experience and media management in NLEs.
• Color-grading and audio sync knowledge for production content.
• Experience using encoding software/hardware (Adobe, Media Convert, Elemental, Telestream, Rhozet).
• Experience with media analysis tools such as Baton and Aurora.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill media to distribution outlets including affiliate networks and internal clients.
• Receive pre-released episodes and distribute per guidelines.
• Communicate technical issues with asset suppliers.
• Prepare selects and rough cuts for internal post facilities.
• Maintain a media library and ensure security of proprietary assets.
• Conform sequences with final hi-res media and transfer between editing systems.
• Apply metadata and ingest media to asset management platforms.
• Encode clips in various formats for multiple platforms per specs.
• Ensure media adheres to brand guidelines and supports editing platforms.
