Job summary

Starz is seeking a Media Asset Specialist in Denver to ensure timely delivery of media assets meeting company standards for domestic and Global Partners. You will handle ingestion, organization, and encoding across multiple platforms with a focus on security and brand compliance.

You will work with editing systems (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Avid) and collaborate with post-production teams to meet daily and long-term deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Film, Videography, Journalism required.
  • 1+ year experience in production/post-production/broadcast/communications.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute media to distribution outlets per guidelines.
  • Receive pre-released episodes and distribute per guidelines.
  • Communicate technical issues with asset suppliers.
  • Prepare and organize selects and rough cuts for internal post-production.
  • Maintain a secure library of media.
  • Conform sequences with final hi-res media and replace proxies.
  • Transfer media between editing systems using AAF/OMF/XML/AVB/EDL.
  • Ingest media to asset management platform and library.
  • Encode clips for multiple platforms while following specifications.
  • Ensure media adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Prepare media for editing platforms (Premiere, Resolve, Avid).

## Specialist, Media Asset ManagementApply: Denver, CO (Greenwood Village): Full time: Posted Today: JR100442**Job Description**The Media Asset Specialist ensures the timely delivery of media assets that meets company standards to internal and external destinations including domestic and Global Partners. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Enjoys working autonomously and can meet daily and long-term deadlines. This individual will be extremely curious, detail-oriented, and technically knowledgeable across multiple asset types, systems, and technologies.**Responsibilities*** Work with a highly motivated team of professionals who are responsible for the fulfillment of media to the company's distribution outlets including affiliate networks, online destinations and internal clientele.* Take receipt of pre-released episodes from series post teams and distribute per guidelines* Communicate technical issues directly with the supplier of assets* Prepare and organize selects and rough cuts for use in internal post-production facility* Maintain a library of media for distribution while maintaining security of Starz propriety media* Conform sequences with final hi-res media to replace proxy media. Pass media between editing systems using the following transfer protocols: AAF, OMF, XML, AVB and EDL* Apply metadata and ingest media to our asset management platform and library system* Encode audio/video clips in various formats (QuickTime, MPEG, etc.) for multiple platforms while following and maintaining department specifications and standards* Ensure media adheres to brand guidelines* Prepare media and supporting files for a variety of editing platforms including Adobe Premiere, Black Magic DaVinci Resolve and Avid Media Composer **Qualifications & Skills*** Minimum 1 year of experience in a production, post-production, broadcast, or communications environment* Communicate effectively across cultural boundaries and work harmoniously with diverse groups* Knowledge of various codecs, containers, file types (QT, MXF, DNX, h.264 etc.) and video standards (NTSC, PAL)* Prior experience with digital video/audio including compression codecs, file systems and file transfer applications* Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Film, Videography, Motion Graphics or Journalism* Exceptional verbal and written skills with a focus on customer service* Non-linear editing experience and strong understanding of media management within each NLE* Color-grading and audio sync knowledge related to untreated production shoot content* Prior experience using encoding software / hardware (Adobe, Media Convert, Elemental, Telestream, Rhozet, etc.)* Experience with Media analysis tools such as Baton & Aurora **Compensation**$50,000 - $62,000**About STARZ**STARZ (NASDAQ: STRZ) is the leading premium entertainment destination for women and underrepresented audiences, and home to some of the most popular franchises and series on television.
