You will manage sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationships for mechanical components, collaborating with engineering, product development, and manufacturing to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. The role requires 5-8+ years in supply chain with a strong grasp of machining, casting, and assembly, plus global sourcing experience.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or sourcing, with a focus on mechanical components or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes, including machining, injection molding, casting, and assembly.
• Skills: negotiation, communication, and relationship-building.
• Analytical skills: use data analysis to drive decisions, manage supplier performance, and track key metrics.
• Global perspective: knowledge of global supply markets, trade regulations, and logistics management.
• Travel: 20-30% international travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and manage global suppliers for mechanical components.
• Design for manufacturability reviews and evaluate manufacturing methods to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain from supplier selection to delivery.
• Lead cost reductions and negotiate favorable supplier terms.
• Develop and execute global supply chain strategies aligned with product development.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on design specs and manufacturability.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
• Coordinate logistics and manage inventory to optimize stock levels.
• Promote compliant and sustainable sourcing practices.
