Job summary

Fleet Data Centers seeks a Mechanical GCM Director to lead procurement of cooling equipment for data center development projects. You will own end-to-end procurement from RFx to award, collaborating with OEMs and integrators in a fast-paced, large-scale environment.

The role requires a deep background in data center mission critical infrastructure, strong data analytics skills, and experience driving supplier performance and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in Mechanical Equipment supply chain with 3–5 years in data center infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of data center systems and vendors (OEMs and integrators).
• Experience in fast-paced, large-scale infrastructure or data center projects.
• Experience with procurement tools, data analytics, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with objectives.
• Lead RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) from initiation through award.
• Conduct industry and supply base analyses to evaluate supplier capacity.
• Oversee supplier onboarding, qualification, and new product development.
• Drive supplier performance and relationship management initiatives.
• Assess and mitigate supply chain risks through strategic planning.
• Oversee category lifecycle and transition strategies.
• Implement sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.
• Monitor KPIs including cost savings and procurement cycle times.
