Job summary

Absen Inc. seeks a Mechanical Designer in Technical Services to bridge between headquarters in China and the U.S. team, delivering engineering solutions, supporting pre- and post-sales activities, and managing technical documentation.

The role involves CAD design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks/Inventor/Pro-E), drawings per ASME standards, and field support including on-site installations and training. Travel across the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
• Minimum 1-year LED/AV experience preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks/Inventor/Pro-E.
• Must have knowledge of ASME Y14.110-2000 & Y14.5-1994 drawings.

Responsibilities

• Answer technical questions from clients and sales team.
• Provide technical assistance including site surveys, parts design, and creating drawings.
• Draft technical documents such as specs, drawings, and instructions.
• Provide training and post-sale support to customers.
• Travel to customer sites as needed for installations and demos.
