Job summary

CSG Talent is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing, inventory planning and international logistics for a growing meat and protein business in the North-East. This site-based role requires relocation to the Philadelphia region with relocation assistance.

You will manage supplier relationships, forecast demand, coordinate imported shipments, and ensure stock aligns with production needs while maintaining SQF compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of procurement, purchasing or supply chain management experience in meat industry.
• Experience managing inventory, forecasting and purchasing plans in food processing or distribution.
• Knowledge of international sourcing and import logistics, ideally Australia, New Zealand and/or South America.
• Understanding of import/export requirements, customs procedures and food safety documentation (SQF preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems and data analysis to inform purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Inventory Planning: develop forecasts, set min/max levels, ensure stock aligns with demand and production schedules.
• Supplier & Market Management: build relationships with domestic/international suppliers; monitor market movements and provide updates.
• Import Logistics & Compliance: coordinate international shipments; maintain import docs and SQF-related records.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: align procurement with Sales, Production and QA to meet commercial priorities.
