Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
• 5+ years in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement in meat industry.
• Experience with inventory management systems and forecasting tools.
• International procurement expertise, especially Australia, New Zealand, and South America.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, logistics, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing forecasts by analyzing usage, promotions, and market trends.
• Collaborate with inventory controllers to maintain stock levels with min/max thresholds.
• Anticipate forward sales requirements for inventory availability.
• Oversee import documentation for SQF audits and supplier certifications.
• Spearhead supplier relationships and coordinate delivery and certifications.
• Prepare weekly market reports on lamb/beef import trends and risks.
