Job summary

Amazon Sunnyvale seeks a Materials Program Manager (MPM) to own and optimize the product budget across groundbreaking consumer devices. You will coordinate with engineering, operations and software teams to drive development, implementation and management of the product budget.

This role demands strong business acumen, accuracy and the ability to communicate financial exposures to leadership, with international travel required to support the product lifecycle and cost targets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in business agreements development, negotiation and execution.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented with effective communication.
• 5+ years managing complex projects with engineering in supply chain/manufacturing.
• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
• Ability to influence stakeholders with differing interests.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering and supply chain teams to optimize BOM+MVA cost below target.
• Negotiate component costs with contract manufacturers.
• Track actual costs vs target and identify deltas.
• Lead executive reviews of product BOM+MVA costs.
• Define Supplier Plan of Record for optimal supplier mix.
• Manage device-level component qualification with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct competitive cost analyses.
• Participate in NPIs to assess cost implications of changes.
• Collaborate with OEM/ODM on PO cost and variance claims.
