Job summary

BMO Capital Markets seeks a Global Markets Analyst in Chicago to support IR and FX client solutions, collaborate with structuring and trading desks, and help manage client exposure analyses. You will develop materials, assist in pricing and transaction execution, and contribute to a high-quality client experience.

The role offers exposure to corporate treasury decision-making, derivative products, and end-to-end sales processes, with growth opportunities in a development‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, math, engineering, data science, or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of capital markets, corporate treasury, risk analysis or related internships/experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with financial statements and market data.
• Detail-oriented with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative, client-service mindset.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; able to learn trading/CRM systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support senior Global Markets Advisors across client coverage, opportunity development, pitch prep, pricing, execution, and post-trade follow-up for IR and FX solutions.
• Review client financial statements, debt profiles, cash flows, operations, and transactions to identify exposures and hedging needs.
• Monitor macroeconomic and market developments; prepare concise market updates and client observations.
• Assist in evaluating derivative strategies (IR swaps, caps, collars, FX forwards/swaps) and translate them into client materials.
• Create and maintain pitch books, market updates, exposure analyses, and pricing summaries for meetings.
