Job summary

BMO Capital Markets Corp. seeks a Global Markets Analyst to support senior marketers in advising U.S. Commercial Banking clients on hedging strategies. The role emphasizes interest rates and FX, with interaction across structuring desks, bankers, and treasury partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, mathematics, engineering, data science, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in capital markets, commercial banking, corporate treasury, risk management, consulting, or financial analysis.
• Demonstrated interest in corporate risk management, financial markets, and derivative products across interest rates and foreign exchange.

Responsibilities

• Support senior Global Markets Advisors across client coverage, opportunity development, pitch preparation, pricing, transaction execution, and post-trade follow-up for IR and FX derivative solutions.
• Review client financial statements, debt profiles, cash flows, international operations, transaction activity, and other information to help identify IR and FX exposures and potential hedging needs.
• Monitor macroeconomic and financial market developments and prepare concise market updates, scenario analyses, and client-specific observations.
• Assist in evaluating and presenting derivative strategies, including interest rate swaps, caps, collars, and FX forwards, swaps, and options.
• Coordinate with trading, credit, legal, onboarding, operations, and risk partners to obtain pricing and support execution.
• Create and maintain pitch books, market updates, exposure analyses, pricing summaries, term sheets, and other marketing materials.
• Maintain pipelines, client activity, and coverage metrics in CRM and reporting tools.
• Adhere to policies, controls, and regulatory expectations; safeguard client and bank information.
• Contribute to dashboards, reporting, data quality, and workflow improvements.
• Build proficiency in IR and FX markets and derivative products through training and mentorship.
