Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Global Recruiting Sector Lead (Maritime Recruiter) based in the United States to lead global recruitment for critical maritime roles within an international humanitarian organization.

You will shape proactive talent acquisition strategies, build sustainable pipelines, and lead a team of global recruiters to improve sourcing and recruitment outcomes across regions, while aligning with international stakeholders and national offices.

Qualifications

• At least five years of recruitment experience with leadership of global or cross-functional teams.
• Experience in maritime or specialized operational recruitment preferred.
• Proactively source and engage passive candidates; build effective talent pipelines.
• Experience across time zones, cultures, and international stakeholders.
• Strong analytics; interpret recruitment metrics and manage dashboards.
• Proficiency with Salesforce; Greenhouse experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and service-oriented communication skills.
• Collaborative leadership with coaching and team development.
• Support NGO mission, values, and community philosophy.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in HR, business or related field.
• Experience in NGO/humanitarian or maritime recruitment is an advantage.
• Successful completion of the organization's training within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor global recruiters for the maritime sector.
• Supervise sourcing leads and candidate screening activities.
• Develop sector-specific recruitment strategies aligned with global needs.
• Shift to proactive talent sourcing through networks and associations.
• Use dashboards to monitor pipeline health and performance metrics.
• Present regular reports on challenges and impact of recruitment.
• Ensure alignment with international offices and HR systems (Greenhouse, Salesforce).
• Foster transparent, collaborative, and high-service recruitment culture.
• Support onboarding and smooth transition from selection to hire.
