Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC seeks a Marine Installation Technician to install, inspect and repair fire protection equipment on marine vessels worldwide. Travel may be required on short notice, with duties including hydrostatic testing, inspections of extinguishers, water mist, and suppression systems.

Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED, 1–5 years marine technician experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. DOT/NFPA certifications are pursued on the job.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–5 years marine technician experience.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair fire protection systems onboard marine vessels.
  • Attend class marine vessels worldwide for installations and tests.
  • Perform hydrostatic testing and inspections per NFPA standards.
  • Assist lead technicians and ensure safe customer service.
  • Travel with short notice, possibly CONUS/OCONUS.
