Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in the United States seeks a Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead engineering initiatives from concept to execution. You will develop detailed project plans, drive cross‑functional collaboration with global teams and optimize stamping, plating, molding, and assembly processes.

Travel to Asia is expected. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing engineering are required; Mandarin is a plus and Asia

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment in an engineering role.
• Experience with assembly process engineering (strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with interconnect industry processes such as stamping, plating, molding, and assembly (preferred).
• Proven project management experience, including creating and executing project plans.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across global teams.
• Ability to travel frequently to Asia to support manufacturing operations.
• Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through execution, aligning with goals and timelines.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track progress, drive accountability.
• Support and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes for efficiency, quality, cost improvements.
• Collaborate with global manufacturing sites, especially in Asia, to support production and processes.
• Interface with leadership, engineering, and operations to ensure delivery.
• Provide technical support for stamping, plating, molding, and assembly processes.
• Prepare and present updates to internal stakeholders and leadership.
