Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Etters, PA seeks a Project Engineer to coordinate mechanical component development across projects, manage schedules, and drive engineering execution through reviews and approvals.

The successful candidate will have a mechanical engineering background, 5+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to collaborate with global teams while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering/product development/coordination experience.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and materials.
• Experience with engineering reviews, tooling programs, NPI or manufacturing readiness.
• Familiarity with sheet-metal fabrication, CNC machining, MIM, die casting, injection molding, stamping or assembly.
• 3D CAD and PLM systems experience; Creo and Windchill preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical component development across multiple projects from concept to production release.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action trackers, risk registers, and PM tools.
• Coordinate priorities and deliverables across engineering teams and suppliers.
• Facilitate design reviews, DFM, FEA, tolerance, tooling, and validation activities.
• Document decisions, open issues, owners, and due dates.
• Track prototypes, engineering samples, test plans, qualifications, and corrective actions.
• Prepare clear status reports and leadership updates.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with program management, operations, and customers.
• Travel internationally to support suppliers and manufacturing sites.
