Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal invites accounting students to join the Summer 2027 Internship in the Global Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) – Financial Due Diligence. You will gain hands-on experience in buy-side/sell-side due diligence, financial analysis, and data-driven insights while supporting client engagements across industries.

The program combines formal training with on-the-job learning, including exposure to AI-enabled analytics, and opportunities to work with senior professionals.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing an Accounting degree with CPA exam eligibility (150 credit hours) on graduation.
• Eligible candidates should be in the later years of their degree program.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for financial analysis and visualization are required.
• Interest in accounting and financial due diligence is essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment are needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with core financial due diligence by identifying key risks and deal breakers.
• Analyze income statements, balance sheets, cash flows and supporting data.
• Synthesize data into clear observations for target management discussions.
• Assess earnings quality, net assets and cash flows of targets.
• Leverage data analytics and AI tools to enhance financial analysis and visuals.
• Prepare deal-oriented reports and client presentations for decision-making.
• Participate in meetings with target management and client teams.
