Job summary

Trafigura is seeking an Associate for the M&A team in Houston to assist senior members in analysis, structuring, negotiation and execution of larger transactions, while growing into responsibility for smaller deals over time.

The role also supports the Operating Asset Division with business planning, project analysis and strategy across assets, including capital investments and geographies, reporting to the North American Head of M&A. Willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years total experience with 2+ years at an investment bank.
• Bonus: additional experience in M&A or investments at a corporate, PE platform, trading house or physical commodities business.

Responsibilities

• Support senior M&A team members with origination, financial analysis, due diligence, negotiation, and post-completion integration.
• Support Operating Asset Division with business planning, project analysis and strategy.
• Take lead on smaller, less complex deals over time, handling business development and M&A activities.
