Job summary

Scimplify USA is seeking an hands-on Logistics Operations professional to own first-mile and last-mile processes, manage a global vendor network, and ensure smooth customs clearance for imports and exports.

You will coordinate with Sales and Exim teams, work with US Customs Brokers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs, and help optimize costs while maintaining timely deliveries across states and ports.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on experience in logistics, freight, or international trade operations, including US import/export shipments and first-/last-mile delivery.
• Established relationships with US Customs Brokers, freight forwarders, and local trucking/logistics vendors.
• Solid knowledge of US customs procedures, import/export documentation, and Incoterms.
• Experience liaising with sales teams and customers on operational matters.
• Willingness to be on the ground at ports, warehouses, and vendor sites.
• Experience with 3PLs, warehouses, carriers, and logistics providers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and vendor relationship management.
• Excellent communication across India–US time zones and across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own first-mile pickup and last-mile delivery end-to-end, coordinating with truckers and carriers.
• Be the on-ground escalation point for transportation and warehousing issues at ports and vendor sites.
• Manage inbound/outbound logistics operations including transportation and warehousing.
• Build and maintain relationships with US and international logistics vendors and brokers.
• Negotiate with suppliers and partners to improve service levels and reduce costs.
• Prepare freight and landed-cost estimates to support pricing and quotations.
