Job summary

Pelican is seeking a Global Logistics Analyst in Torrance, CA. You will turn global logistics data into smarter business decisions, driving visibility, efficiency, and continuous improvement across our network.

You’ll develop analytics, forecasts, dashboards, and business cases to help leaders understand trends and opportunities. You will collaborate with Logistics, Finance, Procurement, Operations, IT, and external providers to quantify improvements and support strategic decisions, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Operations, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, distribution, financial analysis, or a related field.
• Experience analyzing transportation, distribution, logistics, supply chain, or operational costs.
• Strong proficiency with large data sets, analytical modeling, Microsoft Excel, and SAP ERP.
• Experience with BI, visualization, SQL, TMS, WMS, or supply chain technology platforms preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, project management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze global logistics spend and performance across transportation, distribution centers, 3PLs, parcel, ocean freight, and other activities.
• Gather, validate, and analyze data from SAP ERP and other systems to create reliable insights.
• Develop cost, trend, variance, benchmarking, forecasting, budgeting, and network analyses to uncover risks and opportunities.
• Define, monitor, and report KPIs across cost, service, capacity, transportation, and DC performance.
• Build dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports for visibility into global logistics performance.
• Translate complex datasets into clear insights, recommendations, and executive-ready presentations.
• Identify cost-saving and service-improvement opportunities and quantify potential impact.
• Support forecasting and budgeting by analyzing historical trends, demand, and costs.
• Provide analytical support for strategic sourcing, carrier/3PL evaluations, and contract decisions.
• Support network optimization and continuous improvement across Pelican's global operations.
