Job summary

TARGAN Inc in Raleigh, NC seeks a Commercial Systems Engineer to deploy and support Linux-based infrastructure, Azure IoT deployments, and global production systems. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable operations for manufacturing, IoT devices, and cloud services.

Responsibilities include design and deployment, patching, hardening, automation with SaltStack and MAAS, and on-call production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years administering Linux systems (Ubuntu preferred).
• 2–3 years with Azure IoT services (IoT Hub and DPS).
• 3+ years supporting enterprise networking environments.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain Linux-based infrastructure (Ubuntu) across global locations.
• Support and manage Azure IoT Hub, DPS, and device onboarding lifecycle.
• Configure networking including routing, VPNs, VLANs; administer FortiGate devices.
• Provide Tier 2/3 production support and participate in on-call rotations.
