Job summary

NCBioImpact seeks a Commercial Systems Engineer to deploy and support Linux-based infrastructure, Azure IoT, and production systems across global operations, focusing on reliability and security.

This role emphasizes Ubuntu server administration, Fortinet security, networking, and automation using SaltStack and MAAS. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and on‑call responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-7 years of experience administering Linux systems, preferably Ubuntu.
• 2-3 years of experience with Azure IoT services, including Azure IoT Hub and Azure DPS.
• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise networking environments.
• Experience supporting globally distributed production systems.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based infrastructure, with a primary focus on Ubuntu Server environments.
• Support commercial and production systems deployed across multiple global locations.
• Perform system administration tasks including patch management, performance tuning, monitoring, and security hardening.
