Job summary

AXA XL in the United States seeks a Global Underwriting Manager for Liability to drive casualty underwriting excellence across our portfolio. This role partners with the Global Chief Underwriting Officer to deploy product strategy, standards, and governance across multiple business units.

The position requires established US casualty underwriting experience, a global outlook, and the ability to collaborate across diverse geographies.

Qualifications

• Proven and established US Casualty underwriting experience.
• Construction and Energy background preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is desirable and experience of global insurance.
• Continuing education or professional designations in insurance underwriting are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Global Chief Underwriting Officer with development and review of Insurance contract wordings.
• Lead Underwriting Reviews to identify portfolio trends and remediation actions.
• Engage with Governance, Risk Management and Group Underwriting Office.
• Coordinate training material and support the training strategy.
• Deploy Global Casualty Product strategy and frameworks; set product standards and risk appetite.
• Provide representation and support to several Business Units; assist in portfolio management and profitability insights.
