Job summary

AXA XL is seeking a Global Underwriting Manager - Liability to lead global casualty underwriting excellence. Based in multiple locations, you will deploy global product strategy, set risk appetite, and collaborate with governance, risk management, and business units.

You will support training, review contract wordings, analyze portfolios for trends, and drive profitability. Travel approximately 10% globally.

Qualifications

Proven US Casualty underwriting experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desirable.
Experience with global insurance.
CPCU/ACII designations preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and globally with a virtual team.
Willingness to travel ~10% of the time.

Responsibilities

Support the GCUO with development and review of Insurance contract wordings, in conjunction with Legal and Wordings.
Lead Underwriting Reviews to identify trends withing portfolios and ensure remediation with network coordination.
Engage with Governance, AXA XL Risk Management and AXA Group Underwriting Office.
Coordinate training material and support the training strategy.
Deploy Global Casualty Product strategy and associated frameworks and controls.
Provide representation and support to several Business Units.
Support Energy Transition strategy, analytics, reporting and sustainability initiatives.
Assist in portfolio management, reinsurance structures and profitability insights.
Cascade of Underwriting Authority and stewardship of delegated UW arrangements.
