Job summary

IDB Invest Undergraduate Internship in the Legal Department's Compliance Unit based in Washington DC offers a competitive paid opportunity for an active undergraduate student. You will support compliance activities, draft reports, develop policies, and help build training materials while collaborating with multiple IDB Group units.

Qualifications

• Active undergraduate in Law with graduation after the internship period.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another Bank language is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Compliance unit in advising Management and business teams on legal matters.
• Identify and mitigate nonfinancial risks related to integrity, ethics, COI, MNPI, AML/CFT, and sanctions.
• Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures to reduce compliance risk.
• Conduct legal and compliance research and draft advisory reports.
• Create training and capacity-building materials.
• Coordinate with other IDB Group units and departments.
