Job summary

Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. seeks a Global Legal & Compliance Data Officer to own the strategic data and AI roadmap for GL&C, ensuring alignment with Liberty Mutual's global data strategy.

This role leads the Data Office, integrating governance, quality, and enablement across advisory, litigation, and compliance work. The role reports to the SI&I Leader and partners with Technology, Performance & Execution, and the enterprise Data Officer community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years' experience in strategic data management roles.
• Strong experience building business cases for data-centric strategy in regulated environments.
• Expertise in information architecture, data governance, and emerging AI/data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Strategy and Planning: establish and own GL&C's data and AI strategy aligned with Liberty's enterprise data strategy.
• Governance and Execution: oversee data strategy, governance, quality, and enablement with policies and controls.
• Data Office Leadership: lead product management, data science, and knowledge management; ensure governance and high-quality analytics.
• Partnership with Performance & Execution: build the data backbone and ensure data readiness for productivity and affordability commitments.
• Prioritization and Investment Governance: inform GL&C-wide prioritization of technology and data investments.
• Talent and Culture: promote data as a strategic asset; drive adoption among legal professionals.
• Capability Development: align with practice groups; scale a data model across GL&C.
• External and Emerging Trends: stay aware of AI, data governance trends affecting regulation and risk.
