Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an exceptional Data Scientist with hands-on expertise in data science, MLOps, and GenAI solutions. You will identify, evaluate, and develop innovative approaches at the intersection of enterprise data strategy and GenAI capability.

You will design semantic data layers, knowledge graphs, and evaluation frameworks, collaborating across data science, ML engineering, and business partners.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of predictive analytics techniques and model diagnostics.
• Advanced knowledge of predictive toolsets and custom model development.
• Excellent communication of complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to build relationships across teams and leadership levels.
• Strong experience presenting to management and steering committees.
• Ability to persuade stakeholders using analytical results.
• Understanding of business drivers and market context.
• PhD or Master’s with extensive experience or Bachelor’s with extensive experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evaluate generative AI solutions and agentic systems
• Develop and maintain data semantic layers and knowledge graphs for enterprise-scale data accessibility
• Build evaluation frameworks and tools to assess GenAI systems' performance, reliability, and safety
• Collaborate with other data scientists, machine learning engineers, data engineers, and business partners
• Champion best practices and tooling across a broad data science community
• Lead cross-functional working groups and contribute to innovation in AI/ML methods
• Communicate complex technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Serve as a technical consultant on complex, high-impact projects
