Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking two Global Learning Specialists to manage the instructional backbone of LAS Global Learning programs, including teaching LAS 291/292, LAS 100, LAS 399, GLP, and COIL courses. You will oversee curriculum development, course administration, and liaise with campus and partner contacts under the Associate Director for Global Learning.

Responsibilities include teaching, TA supervision, and program coordination, with opportunities for campus

Qualifications

• Master's degree in humanities, social science, international studies, education, or related field.
• Two years (24 months) of teaching or instructional experience in intercultural/international/global education courses.
• One year (12 months) of coordinating educational curricula, programs, events, or research projects at undergraduate level.

Responsibilities

• Teaches up to four Global Learning courses per year as assigned.
• Reviews and revises course curriculum to meet student needs and program goals.
• Coaches TAs on pedagogy and supports them in international contexts.
• Manages TA meetings, onboarding, and training sequence each term.
• Schedules course sections and manages enrollment, adds/drops/withdrawals.
• Submits final grades and generates progress reports for monitoring.
• Maintains course records, rosters, and LMS materials for assigned courses.
