Job summary

Itron, Inc. seeks a senior leader to define and execute a global test engineering strategy for electronics products across development and manufacturing stages.

You will lead a diverse, global team focused on ICT, functional, and system-level testing while enabling robust data-driven decisions. You will partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure scalable, reliable test platforms, fixtures, and automation frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 10+ years in electronics manufacturing test engineering.
• 7+ years leading global or multi-site teams.
• Proven global testing strategy development.
• Expertise in ICT, functional, and system-level testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global test engineering strategy aligned with product roadmaps.
• Lead and develop a global team of test, automation, and manufacturing engineers.
• Ensure test readiness through all NPI stages (prototype to production).
• Partner with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver scalable test solutions.
• Drive early Design for Test, risk mitigation, and product validation activities.
• Lead problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for test issues.
• Maintain global test platform standards across sites and partners.
• Drive improvements in test coverage, yield, and cycle time.
• Enable robust data collection, analytics, and reporting for decisions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen manufacturing competitiveness.
• Manage budgets, CAPEX planning, supplier relationships, and partnerships.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align test priorities with business goals.
• Support global manufacturing with safety, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction focus.
• Champion a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
