Job summary

Matura Farrington, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst to review accounting activity, investigate discrepancies, and strengthen financial reporting and controls in a multinational law firm setting.

Ideal candidate has a minimum of five years in FP&A or similar analytical roles, with advanced SQL and Excel skills and Elite 3E experience. Requires LA office visits twice per month, with substantial remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum five years at a multinational law firm in FP&A or similar analytical role.
• Advanced SQL and Excel skills.
• Strong GAAP and IFRS knowledge; Elite 3E experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and investigate accounting system discrepancies, balancing issues, GL masking errors, and user input errors.
• Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger across multiple currencies and entities.
• Develop and improve reports and analytical tools to identify discrepancies, increase efficiency, and flag potential issues.
• Review accounting records and develop controls to support accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform monthly reviews of partner tax withholding and capital accounts.
• Review manual general ledger journal entries for accuracy and account integrity.
• Collaborate with financial systems admins and accounting teams to develop reports and resolve issues.
• Review and reconcile intercompany accounts.
• Reconcile accounts payable and advanced client costs.
