Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director of Supply Chain Management to lead end-to-end execution of new product launches in major markets. Reporting to the Director, you will guide cross-functional teams, develop market launch plans, identify risks, and oversee hypercare before transitioning to sustaining owners.

You will apply GLP processes, track performance, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with Global Human Health, Development, and Commercialization teams.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in supply chain, launch planning, and/or manufacturing operations within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive ownership without direct authority.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex, ambiguous information clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience with launch planning in pharma or biotech environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP and advanced planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional/divisional launch teams for assigned products from launch preparation through hypercare.
• Partner with Value Chain Management to align launch plans with GFLS and Supply Chain Design requirements.
• Develop launch supply scenarios with multiple teams and translate into actionable options for decision-makers.
• Identify and mitigate launch and supply risks, driving resolution through governance forums.
• Contribute to business continuity planning and cross-functional incident response for new products.
