Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks an NPI Engineer - Laser Welding in Raleigh, NC. You will serve as the global process owner for laser welding, defining roadmaps, validating processes, and deploying robust manufacturing solutions across CBS sites.

Responsibilities include leading DOE-based development, coordinating with Product Engineering, and enabling site teams through training and governance to ensure scalable, high-quality welds for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on laser-welding experience.
• Experience with DOE, SPC and process qualification.
• Ability to interpret drawings and translate into welding controls.
• 30–50% travel domestically & internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own laser-welding readiness across CBS sites and prototypes.
• Define laser-welding roadmap and evaluate sources, tooling and automation.
• Partner with Product Engineering during design reviews on joint geometry and manufacturability.
• Develop robust process windows using DOE and analysis.
• Deploy production solutions to factories and provide training and support.
• Lead technical deployment and site enablement for laser welding.
