Job summary

CNSS • National Security Systems is seeking multilingual professionals to join NSA's Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs) in support of SIGINT missions. Analysts analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials to inform policymakers and military leaders.

LADP lasts up to three years, with 4–5 operational tours and formal training; language proficiency noted by ILR levels. Applicants indicate languages they are proficient in and may be considered for LADP or direct hire.

Qualifications

• ILR level 2/2 proficiency in reading and listening in the target language.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant language or related experience.
• Entry paths depend on education/experience; Senior levels may require leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Offer policymakers and military leaders insights by analyzing, transcribing, and translating.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts.
• Apply new techniques to analyze large data sets and disparate information.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends.
• Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights for NSA SIGINT.
• Work independently and with teams across NSA and the Intelligence Community.
