Job summary

NSA in the United States is seeking Linguists (MDLAs) for the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire into analytic missions. You will analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials, engaging with partners and customers across the IC to deliver actionable insights.

LADP lasts up to three years with 4-5 operational tours and training, mixing classroom and on-the-job rotations to build advanced language and analytic capabilities for SIGINT and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• At least one year of relevant language work (translation, transcription, analysis, or language instruction).
• For Full Performance and Senior levels, formal or informal leadership experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Offer policymakers and leaders insights by analyzing, transcribing, and translating key information.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts to understand their roles and implications.
• Apply new techniques to synthesize large data sets across disparate sources.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends relevant to SIGINT.
• Craft written and oral assessments providing unique analytic insights.
• Work independently and collaboratively within NSA and IC on research, analysis, and reporting.
