Job summary

Teledyne Qioptiq Electronic Solutions seeks a Trade Compliance Manager to oversee export/import compliance across U.S.-based units. You will partner with stakeholders to ensure ITAR/EAR adherence while enabling global operations and growth.

The role blends hands-on licensing work with strategic guidance in a highly regulated environment, traveling between U.S. sites as needed and developing robust compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics or related field.
• 3–6 years of export/trade compliance experience.
• Hands-on experience applying ITAR and/or EAR regulations.
• Experience with export licensing (DDTC and/or BIS).
• Familiarity with the defense industry and trade compliance implications.
• Strong ability to interpret complex regulations and guide the business.
• Effective cross-functional communication and detail-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel periodically between U.S. sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor on export/import compliance across U.S.-based business units.
• Review export activities and advise regulatory requirements for global operations.
• Coordinate ITAR/EAR licensing and post-licensing activities with licensing SMEs.
• Oversee export classification and record-keeping processes.
• Support audits and drive closure of corrective actions.
• Develop and enhance trade compliance policies and procedures.
• Train stakeholders on trade compliance topics including denied party screening and EEI filing.
• Assist with travel requests, trade shows, and vendor/visitor management.
