Job summary

Fortrea is seeking a Director, Global Strategic Sourcing - IT to lead strategy, design, and execution of Fortrea's IT procurement across software, cloud, infra, cybersecurity, and managed services. You will drive value, mitigate risk, and align with Fortrea's technology strategy while partnering with IT, Finance, Legal, and security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; related fields accepted with equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and category management for IT.
• Experience with software licensing models, SaaS contracts, cloud services, telecom, cybersecurity, and managed IT services procurement.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to drive measurable business value.
• Strong business, financial, and commercial acumen.
• Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
• Experience with spend analytics and forecasting tools.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Contract analysis capabilities and disciplined decision-making in complex sourcing initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a global IT sourcing team.
• Create a high-performance culture and hold managers accountable for results.
• Own talent strategy for IT sourcing and workforce planning.
• Set and cascade measurable objectives across the team.
• Foster an inclusive environment encouraging continuous improvement and digital innovation.
• Own strategy, governance, and performance outcomes for IT categories.
• Ensure category strategies across software, cloud, infra, cybersecurity.
• Hold leaders accountable for sourcing rigor and vendor performance.
• Serve as executive escalation point for negotiations and disputes.
• Translate enterprise strategies into category-level priorities.
• Develop long-term category roadmaps aligned with tech transformation.
• Act as a senior strategic advisor to Enterprise Technology leaders.
• Partner with CIO, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, and other teams.
• Model disciplined decision-making balancing speed, risk, and value.
• Lead cross-functional teams on RFXs, negotiations, and consolidations.
• Conduct regular supplier reviews to ensure commitments and SLAs.
• Provide guidance on licensing, cloud models, audits, and risk management.
• Continuously adjust strategies based on market trends.
